Should I use weights?
21 June 2023
The simple answer is yes!
My simple routine in the morning involves a 7-minute workout, with weights, so I work my upper and lower body together.
I have a set routine including squats, leg raises, lunges & balances.
I do breathing exercises alongside, so I start my day relaxed and calm.
The benefit is you lose less muscle mass which is important as we get older in helping prevent falls but also to improve bone density so reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
If you have some achey muscles the next day- no worries- just do some gentle stretches, take a walk or have a relaxing bath.
